Angela D. Giampolo, Principal
Angela D. Giampolo formed Giampolo Law Group in order to create a law firm that assisting individuals and companies alike without crippling them with legal fees. Moreover, forming her own firm allowed her to marry her entrepreneurial and human rights passions without forfeiting one for the other. Ms. Giampolo’s practice focuses on LGBT law, corporate transactions, civil rights, employment discrimination, real estate, domestic and international adoptions, and estate planning and administration.
In addition to working on corporate transactions, due to her Certificate of Law in Chinese Law and time living in Beijing, Ms. Giampolo helps U.S. businesses navigate the Chinese legal landscape and assists Chinese businesses expand globally. Ms. Giampolo also has expansive knowledge of the legal systems of several countries in East and West Africa through the time that she worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) in prosecuting the masterminds of the Rwandan Genocide in Tanzania.
Prior to creating her own law group, Ms. Giampolo worked in a variety of different facets of the legal field. She worked in a franchise boutique law firm and worked primarily with clients focused on expanding internationally. She also worked in government at the Office of General Counsel in Harrisburg mainly with the Corporations Bureau and the Election Law Division. Lastly, she worked with the United Nations, a non-governmental organization assisting the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in prosecuting the masterminds of the Rwandan Genocide of 1994. Ms. Giampolo prepared witness testimonies, drafted decision summaries, and directly participated in trials related to the genocide.

Ms. Giampolo received her Juris Doctorate degree from the Temple University, Beasley School of Law. While completing her Juris Doctorate, Ms. Giampolo earned a Certificate of Law in Chinese Law from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China and took joint JD/MBA classes at Temple University, Fox Business School. Prior to graduating, Ms. Giampolo was inducted as a Fellow of the Rubin Public Interest Society.
Ms. Giampolo received her Dual Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Psychology and Minored in Women’s Studies and International Relations at La Salle University.

Ms. Giampolo currently holds membership in the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the Gay and Lesbian Lawyers of Philadelphia.
Ms. Giampolo complements her practice by actively engaging in several associations and non-profit organizations. In addition to having volunteered with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom, Women’s Law Project and Lawyers Without Borders, and served on the Board of Directors of the Delaware Valley Legacy Fund for six years and as President for two years. DVLF is a philanthropic organization that engages in capacity building and leadership development for LGBT organizations in the area. Angela is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Greater Philadelphia Cares. GPC supports the creation of vibrant communities by motivating people to volunteer their time, talents, and resources.
In addition to the practice of law, Ms. Giampolo enjoys writing. In addition to the Continuing Legal Education textbooks that she co-authored, she also published a Note in the Temple Political and Civil Rights Law Review (16 Temp. Pol. & Civ. Rts. L. Rev. 195 (2006)) and the International Lawyer (41 Int’l Law. 643, 661 (2007)) on the laws in the United States aimed at fighting human trafficking.
Ms. Giampolo is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. She speaks French fluently and is proficient in Mandarin. She has traveled extensively. Some of her favorite places around the world include Estonia, Finland, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Belgium, France, and Holland. Along her travels, Ms. Giampolo discovered many beautiful rooftop vistas. She wants to share these finds with other rooftop enthusiasts and those who enjoy traveling. Currently, Ms. Giampolo is working on a book highlighting the architecture, design, and skyline vistas from rooftop bars and lounges around the world.
